COCOA MUFFINS

Cocoa muffins are a perfect choice for chocolate lovers. Their rich texture and chocolate flavor make them ideal for enjoying with a cup of coffee or tea. They are quick to prepare and disappear from the table even quicker.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar
  • 100 ml of milk
  • 100 g of melted butter
  • 150 g of flour
  • 1 bag of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder
  • 1 mashed banana (optional)

Preparation

  1. Beat egg and sugar well.
  2. Add vanilla sugar, milk and melted butter, then mix everything well.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cocoa powder.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ones, mixing until everything is well combined.
  5. Add the mashed banana and gently mix everything again.
  6. Spread the mixture in muffin tins, not to the top, because it will rise during baking.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes.
  8. Check with a toothpick whether the muffins are baked – if it comes out dry, they are ready.

Serving

Serve hot or cold, sprinkle with powdered sugar or cover with chocolate glaze if desired. They are ideal to enjoy with your favorite drink or as a quick dessert for unexpected guests.
